The leading international publication charting theoretical and topical developments in architecture. Architectural Design is at the forefront of architectural thought it consistently delivers the most cutting edge designs and ideas. Central to the dissemination of Post-modernism and Deconstruction in the 70s and 80s it has more recently proved crucial to the worldwide awareness of cyberspace and hypersurface architecture in the 90s. Each issue of Architectural Design centres on a different theme compiled by a guest-editor. A diverse and international selection of architects architectural thinkers and cultural commentators present articles relating to the issues title. This is complemented by exciting visual material illustrating built work and architectural projects worldwide. The main part of AD is complemented by a new back section AD Plus which includes one-off articles reviews and regular series such as Practice Profile which showcases the work of up and coming young practices worldwide providing further space for current debates and issues. From January 2000 Architectural Design is to be redesigned with a new layout and format that will reflect its commitment to contemporary design.
